Why Boxed Steps?
The name Boxed Steps is a play on the ‘box step’ dance move in the traditional foxtrot ballroom dance style. We give you everything you need to create your perfect wedding dance, all in one beautifully wrapped package. Whatever your preferred style, we’ll help you to learn and master the moves that make each genre special. Once you’ve completed the course, you’ll be ready to wow your friends and family on the dance floor on your big day.
We want learning your wedding dance to be as enjoyable as possible, and we understand that professional-level dancing and choreography can be intimidating. Our expert-led video lessons are designed to feel welcoming and approachable to even the most inexperienced dancer. They feature demonstrations by real couples instead of professional dancers (except for your instructor, of course!) and you’re free to follow them in the comfort of your own home.

Meet Natalie – our founder & creator
Natalie has taught couples both privately and within a group setting for many years, giving them the confidence to strut their stuff in front of family and friends on their wedding day. Boxed Steps was created to offer a complete, one-stop solution for wedding couples who find it cumbersome to commit to regular dance lessons at a studio (be it time, cost, accessibility, life!) but still want to create a truly beautiful moment on their wedding day.
Having successfully created one-of-a-kind first dances for hundreds of brides and grooms across Australia and abroad, Natalie wanted to share her formula for a successful wedding dance. Natalie danced before she could walk so it’s only natural that her passion for dance, particularly wedding dances, was boxed up and shared with couples all over the world.
With over 30 years’ experience both teaching and performing in many styles of dance, Natalie expertly explains the unique moves of each genre to help even the most inexperienced dancer to feel graceful and confident. As well as traditional slow dances to romantic ballads, Natalie can help you to bring the X factor to your wedding dance with something more modern and upbeat.
